  • CBT is an evidenced-based transformative approach to understanding how our thoughts shape our emotions, beliefs and behaviors. It shines a light on how our core beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world are often distorted, shaping our reality in ways we may not even realize. It challenges our negative thinking traps, like perfectionism or assuming the worst will happen, and helps us change our automatic thoughts. This mind shift leads to better emotional responses, better decisions that align with our values and beliefs and stronger coping skills.

  • Trauma-informed therapy is a  holistic approach that seeks to understand the profound impact trauma and post traumatic stress disorder can have on our emotional, psychological, and physiological well-being. At its core, trauma-informed therapy recognizes that trauma is not just an event from the past—it is an ongoing, pervasive experience that shapes how people interact with the world. Trauma-informed therapy prioritizes stress reduction, safety and trust with the goal of restoring a sense of control, autonomy and inner peace.

  • EMDR is a therapy designed to help people process and heal from traumatic memories. It works by focusing on a distressing memory while simultaneously following a therapist's guided directions. This dual focus—thinking about the memory while engaging in eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation—helps the brain reprocess the memory in our subconscious, reducing its emotional intensity. Over time, the memory becomes less disturbing and is stored more like a neutral event, which helps us feel better and move forward from difficult memories.
